Siddharth S. Chhokar
Siddharth S. Chhokar is unique among estate planning practitioners because of his unyielding commitment to creating Your Total Estate Plan. Your Total Estate Plan starts with the understanding that the only way to practice law is by building lifelong relationships with clients and knowing that those relationships must be predicated on an environment of trust and understanding. He does not believe in merely drafting documents and filing them away; rather he focuses on a comprehensive approach that will meet his clients’ immediate needs and their long-term goals. Siddharth believes that creating Your Total Estate Plan requires more than just sophisticated estate planning techniques – it also requires that everything be viewed through the prism of asset protection. The fact is that the best estate plan in the world is useless if there is nothing left to pass onto your loved ones.
Siddharth’s practice focuses on personalized estate planning for individuals, couples, families and businesses. He has a broad range of experience that spans from basic wills and revocable living trusts to generational split dollar insurance arrangements. Further, Siddharth maintains a focus on planning for families with minor children because he knows how important it is to have a structurally sound plan in place for your most precious assets.
Siddharth began his higher education by earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University. Thereafter, he received a M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and International Business from Rollins College in Florida. Siddharth then went on to the Chicago-Kent School of Law earning not only his Juris Doctor but also a Special Certificate in International Law. Next knowing that there are only two guarantees in life – death and taxes, Siddharth went on to receive his Master’s in Tax Law from the University of San Diego top ten LL.M. program.
Siddharth began his professional career working for Deloitte Tax in Silicon Valley California structuring multinational corporations to obtain the highest amount of tax savings and asset protection available under the law. Wanting a more meaningful professional experience Siddharth moved into private practice and estate planning in 2004. After discovering how “traditional” attorneys function, Siddharth decided that he could do things better – the result is Chhokar Law Group, P.C. As an associate attorney he protected high-net worth individuals and families through the design of sophisticated plans to protect their assets and pass along the maximum wealth to successive generations. Today in his own practice, he applies those same strategies to people in all financial backgrounds, knowing that everyone should have the same access to experienced guidance to protect for their families and wealth.
In addition to being a Personal Family Lawyer, an organization of attorneys dedicated to helping families make the very best personal, financial, legal and business decisions throughout their lifetime. Siddharth is also a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, the oldest and one of the largest collaborative networks of Estate Planning practitioners throughout all fifty states.
